Program Overview

Hours and Location

Fishtown Playschool’s hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., located in the annex building of the First Presbyterian Church of Kensington at 418 E. Girard Avenue.

Classrooms

• 3-5 year-old mixed age classroom with 1:5 teacher-to-child ratio

• 2-3 year-old classroom with 1:3 teacher-to-child ratio

• Children become age-eligible for either classroom on September 1. September is the only entry point for Fishtown Playschool.

Daily Schedule

9:00 a.m. Parent helpers arrive

9:00 – 9:15 a.m. Drop off (Doors are locked at 9:15; if you are running late, text the teacher or helper.)

9:00 – 10 a.m. Circle & Activity Time (Older Class) / Gym Time (Younger Class)

10:00 – 10:30 a.m. Bathroom & Snack

10:30 – 11:20 a.m. Gym Time (Older Class) / Circle & Activity Time (Younger Class)

11:20 – 12:00 p.m. Bathroom & Lunch

12:00 – 12:20 p.m. Music and Movement

12:20 – 12:30 p.m. Pick up
